Robert Plant — the iconic singer/songwriter who has gone from fronting hard-rock legends Led Zeppelin to successful solo outings to a late-career renaissance in a variety of styles — today added a Jan. 21 concert at Ann Arbor's Hill Auditorium to the tour dates listed on his website.

Ticket information is listed on Plant's website as "info to come," and as of this writing, the show is not yet listed on the Ticketmaster website. Watch AnnArbor.com for on-sale information.

Although he'll always be most associated with Led Zeppelin, in recent years Plant has moved into a more rootsy, acoustic sound. Plant's 2007 collaboration with bluegrass master Alison Krauss won considerable critical and popular acclaim and earned the Grammy Award for album of the year.

Plant's Ann Arbor date will be with his latest project, the Band of Joy, which features notable names like Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller and Darrell Scott. Band of Joy released an album in September.

not everyone is in the 40's! I am going to be 30 in a few months. Led Zeppelin saved my soul since I was 13;) I am checking the website everyday in hopes of buying some tickets! "someone told me there's a girl out there, with love in her eyes and flowers....in her hair..."

Is this the kind of raucous noise that the kids are listening to these days?
