Sava's hosting concert to benefit Japan relief efforts

By AnnArbor.com Freelance Journalist

On March 11, 2011, thousands of lives were horrifically altered when a massive (9 magnitude) earthquake hit Northeast Japan, triggering a huge tsunami. Since then, there have been numerous powerful aftershocks that continue to shake Japan’s foundation.

Sava’s Cafe has put together a day of celebrations, libations, and donations, attempting to raise $11,311 dollars in commemoration of that day.

This benefit concert will be held on Wednesday, March 30, from 8 a.m. -2 a.m. at Sava’s, located on State Street in the heart of Ann Arbor.

Attendees will enjoy the sounds of artists such as:

Buttonsphere

& bull; Future Genies

Leap Year

Derby Mama

More performers will be announced. Sava’s will offer a dim sum breakfast, jazz brunch, DJs at happy hour, and an acoustic dinner.

All food, and drink revenues will be donated to Japanese relief efforts.
