Scriptwriting workshop for young people this weekend at the downtown library

A scriptwriting workshop for young people happens this Sunday, March 7, from 2-4 p.m. at the downtown Ann Arbor District Library, at 343 S. Fifth Ave., in collaboration with Ann Arbor Civic Theatre's Junior Theatre.

Director Jacqueline Corteau will elicit help to write an original scene that will be used in the A2CT's Junior Theatre spring production of "The Secret Garden." Workshop participants should be familiar with the book and should have read chapters 1-3. This workshop will also discuss the process of adapting a classic book into a play.
