The award-winning Ypsilanti Songwriting Festival returns for YSF ’10 on Saturday, October 2. It’s a real treat to announce that our featured songwriter this year will be Graham Parker! Martin Bandyke of Ann Arbor’s 107one will be interviewing Parker about his illustrious career during a Q & A session at the Ypsilanti District Library-Whittaker Road, 5577 Whittaker Road at 6:30 pm. At 9 pm that evening, Parker will perform at a free concert at the Keystone Underground located in historic downtown Ypsilanti. Throughout his career, Parker has been “slinging a signature sound across continents and airwaves that has rightly earned him a spot in the pantheon of truly original and influential figures in rock and roll…Graham has coupled punk’s energy with his deeply rooted love of American R&B, country and soul music” (Bloodshot Records).

Returning from Nashville for a third year is YSF favorite Paul Burch, who will talk with Jeremy Baldwin of WEMU’s Roots Music Project at YDL-Whittaker at 5 pm.
