The Consequence of Sound blog has a treat for fans of Tally Hall, the indie-pop band with roots in Ann Arbor: streaming audio for "You and Me," a track from the band's long-awaited upcoming second album, "Good & Evil."

Tally Hall's first album, 2005's "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum," got the band a contract with Atlantic Records, which re-released that recording. But when Martin Bandyke spoke to the band last year for AnnArbor.com, the follow up "Good & Evil" seemed not to be a priority for the label.

That probably explains why it's finally being released — June 21 — right back where the band started out, on the Ann Arbor-based indie company Quack! Media.

CoS writes that "the album’s new single “You and Me” shares many characteristics with Belle & Sebastian’s indie-pop tracks. The track has a bright melody, crisp vocals courtesy of Rob Cantor, and even if you can’t remember the words, you will definitely be humming the tune for the rest of the afternoon."
