By AnnArbor.com Staff

Ready to put your guns to the test, ladies?

The Ann Arbor Derby Dimes (Ann Arbor's roller derby league) and ARBCO Music Co-operative (a local music co-op made up of many different bands/artists in the Ann Arbor/Ypsi area) will host the first-ever local Ultimate Woman's Arm Wrestling Tournament on July 15 at Woodruff's, at 36 E. Cross St. in Ypsilanti. The event is a fundraiser for both organizations.

The tournament's winner will receive $50, one item of Ann Arbor Derby Dimes merchandise, and one item of Arbco Music Co-op merchandise. The first runner-up, meanwhile, will receive $25, one item of Derby Dimes merchandise, and one item of Arbco merch. In addition, the event will feature live music by Mazinga, Scissor Now, and Lord Centipede.

Registration for the competition begins at 9:30 p.m. on July 15 at Woodruff's and will happen on a first come, first served basis.

There are only 32 competitor spots, competing in a bracket-style tournament, so if you wish to compete, organizers suggest that you arrive early. Participants and spectators must be 18 or older, and the cost for those age 18-20 is $8, while the cost for those 21 and older is $5.
