EMU's fashion week
Eastern Michigan University is hosting its second annual fashion week, starting on Sept. 21. Local stores and designers will contribute clothes from their fall collections for the show, which had over 600 attendees last year. The week long event will kick off with a concert to benefit AIDS research on the 21st from 8-10 p.m. in the Student Center Grand Ballroom. On Tuesday, the 22nd is "Supermodel Survival" which is a model boot camp also in the Grand Ballroom from 8-10 p.m. This is an event inspired by "America's Next Top Model" in which aspiring models will have limited amounts of time to get camera ready for a photo shoot.
Wednesday, check out Fashion Jeopardy from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center room 330, followed by Fashion Oasis, from 8-10 p.m. in the First Year Center, Room 352.
The Grandiloquence Fashion show will be on Thursday from 7-10 p.m. in University Park. This is the big not-to-be-missed event of the week. Come support your local designers on what is sure to be an exciting event.
On Friday, celebrate the closing of fashion week in style at The Artic Ball from 7 p.m.-12 a.m. in the Student Center, Room 300.

Thanks for this info. I have always loved fashion and think it is so wonderful that young designers are now given such great opportunities to pursue their passion. I would love to attend the Grandiloquence Fashion Show and would like more info on directions to University Park. Good Luck.
