Introduction to a dorky teenager!

By Alisa Lee

LeeAlisa
Hello! My name is Alisa Lee and I am going to be a senior at Huron High School in the fall.

I am a co-editor-in-chief of “The Emery,” Huron's official newspaper. So far, we have not had the chance to really work on our website but I look forward to making it work.

I am super excited to contribute to AnnArbor.com and I will be working to link our school newspaper's articles into AnnArbor.com.

Considering that we only print 1500 copies a month and distribute among the Huron staff and students, we can always use a bigger audience.

So a little bit about me:

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and spent ten years of my life there (I am seventeen now). I spent majority of my childhood on a tight schedule of going to school, then piano lessons, then poetry class, then art class, and then to English class. How did I ever manage to eat, to do homework, and to have fun? I don't even know.

In 2002, my mother and I flew over to the land of opportunity because she thought that it would be good for me to encounter a different learning experience from a different country. I was supposed to undergo the public education system for a year and then return back to my family. Too bad I never went back.

Now, I am just a plain high school student, only a little bit dorkier. I like things like Harry Potter, LOST, Korean music, and band camp (hey you can't say anything until you've been there). People also say I'm a little weird because I would rather look at the scenery of a big city and city lights over trees and sunsets. And I also want to be a dentist when I grow up.

You're welcome to email me at a.lee220@gmail.com with advice and comments about any articles published in “The Emery.” Also feel free to drop me some tips on how to write a good editorial because I will be writing several of them this year and I can always use some help! It was very nice meeting you all.
