Local movie lovers may be anxiously awaiting next week's Sundance USA screening of "The East," at the Michigan Theater, but current Sundance Film Festival attendees in Park City got their first crack at seeing the film earlier this week, and SFF's website recently posted festival director John Cooper's "Morning After" interview with "The East" co-writer/director Zal Batmanglij and and co-writer/star Brit Marling. (Batmanglij and Marling will be in Ann Arbor to answer questions when the movie is screened at the Michigan on Thursday, January 31.)

“The East” tells the story of an undercover agent who infiltrates an eco-terrorist group, only to fall for the group’s leader.
