'The Five Year Engagement' slated for DVD release on September 4

Starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt; produced by Judd Apatow; and directed by Nicholas Stoller, the movie tells the story of a couple who struggle to stay together on their long journey down the aisle.
The film, released in theaters April 27, grossed only $28.6 million, reportedly, and audience and critics were largely divided in regard to the movie's quality. Scenes were shot locally in downtown Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, and at Zingerman's Bakehouse, the Cavern Club, Liberty Plaza, and the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Palmer House, among other locations.

Having just watched it for the first time yesterday on a flight into Detroit, I have no interest in seeing it again. It wasn't a bad movie, except for the underlying tone that people in Michigan are uncultured idiots while San Francisco is the Mecca of high culture.
