There are plenty of music options throughout the week

The Gandy Dancer Courtyard Jazz Series continues Wednesdays through September 19. 6-9 p.m. This week, see the Ingrid Racine Quartet. The Gandy Dancer will offer its special Courtyard Menu, which features mid-priced sandwiches and appetizers. No cover. The Gandy Dancer is at 401 Depot St., Ann Arbor. 734-769-0592.

Get some old-school rockin' Chicago blues with Studebaker John and the Hawks on Wednesday. 8 p.m. Studebaker John comes to The Ark with a new album, "Old School Rockin'," about which he says this: “On my last CD, 'Maxwell Street Kings,' I wanted to capture the raw, less-is-more sound that I first heard on Chicago’s Maxwell St. My new CD, 'Old School Rockin’,' is rockin’ blues that helps people to forget their troubles." $15. Sonic Lunch continues in downtown Ann Arbor on Thursday with Theo Katzman at Liberty Plaza. Noon-1:30 p.m. Theo was a member of My Dear Disco and performed at numerous national festivals including SXSW. Eventually leaving the band in 2009 to pursue his solo career and become a music educator and mentor teaching drums, guitar and bass in Ann Arbor. Free. On the corner of Division & Liberty St., Ann Arbor.

Hillside Terrace will hold its annual car show on Thursday. 4:30-7:30 p.m. There will be prizes, food, 50/50 raffle, and auction. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Free admission. 1939 Jackson Ave., Ann Arbor. 734-761-4451.
