Tonight at Top of the Park - Friday, July 5: Los Gatos, The Saints of Soul, and more

Here's the schedule for tonight's Top of the Park, the free (donations welcome), outdoor component of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. Descriptions provided by the festival. Top of the Park takes place in the area around East Washington Street at Ingalls Mall, except as noted.

5 p.m.: KidZone: U-M School of Kinesiology KidSport - KidZone Tent
The staff of the U-M School of Kinesiology’s KidSport Camp will be on hand to lead activities and answer questions about cool camp activities that support team building, social, and athletic skills.

5 p.m.: Brett Mitchell - Grove Stage
Enjoy catchy, sophisticated power pop featuring impressive guitar work, fluid vocals, toe-tapping beats, and strong songwriting from Midland’s Brett Mitchell.

6 p.m.: Roland Remington - Grove Stage
Roland Remington returns to The Grove with his vintage melody percussion instruments to revive mid-century exotica, a combination of sounds from Latin America, Polynesia, and the Orient.

7 p.m.: Horse Cave Trio - Rackham Stage
Whiskey soaked, hard hitting, and full of swagger, Horse Cave Trio makes music that travels the American landscape, from rockabilly to Kentucky blues, pure country to gospel.

8 p.m.: Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo - Power Center
Performing in tutus, tiaras and tights, this all-male ballet company specializes in hilarious twists on the classics such as Swan Lake and Giselle, with equal parts comedy and technical prowess.

Los Gatos

8 p.m.: Los Gatos - Rackham Stage
Los Gatos maestro Pete Siers leads this vibe-influenced Latin jazz quintet through elegant boleros, upbeat pachangas, fiery mambos, relaxed cha cha chas, and exotic, 6/8 Afro-Cuban dance numbers.

9:30 p.m.: The Saints of Soul; Rackham Stage
The Saints of Soul return to TOP for a high-energy show with a distinctive vibe that’s infused with soul, funk, Motown, R&B, blues, jazz, and classical influences.

11 p.m.: After Dark w/ DJ Kirsten Carey - Grove Stage
Come hear a funk and soul set by Ann Arbor-based DJ Kirsten Carey.
