Tonight at Top of the Park - Friday, June 14: Laith Al-Saadi, Lady Sunshine and more
Here's the schedule for tonight's Top of the Park, the free (donations welcome), outdoor component of the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. Descriptions provided by the festival. Top of the Park takes place in the area around East Washington Street at Ingalls Mall.
5 p.m.: Body Masterpiece - Extreme Face Painting; KidZone Tent
The extreme face painters are back for this year’s opening weekend celebration!
5 p.m.: Spencer Michaud - Grove Stage
Ann Arbor singer-songwriter Spencer Michaud draws upon the ghosts of Motown, Tin Pan Alley, and Jeff Buckley to create versatile, powerful songs with rich guitar arrangements.
6 p.m.: Jetty Rae - Grove Stage
Folksy, soulful, and sweet, Michigan singer-songwriter Jetty Rae recently shared the stage with Sarah McLachlan, who picked her as the featured local artist for Lilith Fair Detroit.
7 p.m.: Laith Al-Saadi Trio - Rackham Stage
Rackham Stage opens with local guitar virtuoso Laith Al-Saadi’s jam oriented trio playing an infectious mix of roots Americana, classic rock, and blues
Lady Sunshine
The Bluescasters bring their high-energy blues party to First Friday at Top of the Park.
9:30 p.m.; Lady Sunshine & The X Band - Rackham Stage
Welcome back this blues and soul powerhouse, and join visitors, friends, and neighbors in celebrating the return of Top of the Park.
11 p.m. After Dark w/ DJ Chuck Sipperley - Grove Stage
Come hear the boogie, Modern Soul, Disco, House, Electro, and Techno set by Ann Arbor-based DJ Chuck Sipperly.
