The Ann Arbor Summer Festival had a great night. Funktion kicked off the evening with a fun arrangement of funk, soul, and stylistic elements from jazz. Their rendition of "Watermelon Man" by Herbie Hancock was outstanding. It was fun watching everyone dance and enjoy the music. Although I have seen it many times, wrapped up the evening with a classic Alfred Hitchcock film -- The Birds. It still freaked me out when the birds flew down the chimney! A combination like this, only in Ann Arbor. Veracity, the flock of birds would have been a nice touch.

Any chance that a flock of birds could be released towards the end of the movie tonight?
