Wednesday's Top of the Park: Cadillac Cowboys, Orpheum Bell, "Casablanca"

Here's an introduction to the acts appearing Wednesday, June 30 at Top of the Park — the Ann Arbor Summer Festival's free, outdoor component, held outside the Rackham Building, on East Washington Street at Ingalls Mall. And don't forget the Top of the Park Photo Contest, presented by AnnArbor.com for the festival.

The KidZone Tent is open from 6:30-8 p.m. Also from 6:30-8 p.m. is one of the festival's "Wind Down Wednesday" wine-tasting events, featuring wines of France.

Cadillac Cowboys Rackham Stage, 6:30 p.m.

Mike Smith and His Cadillac Cowboys play a mix of Western swing, classic country, boogie-woogie and rock 'n' roll. This conglomerate style, as served up by this band, has been referred to as swing 'n' roll. A longtime community favorite.

Orpheum Bell Rackham Stage, 8 p.m.

Equipped with an orchestral ensemble of banjo, accordion, trumpet, xylophone, shepherd harp, musical saw, pedal steel, a suitcase pump organ, cittern, guitar and dobro, double bass, foot percussion, various ukuleles and mechanical horned violins, Orpheum Bell performs an original "Country & Eastern" songbook of lullabies, stomps, dirt-road ballads, and gypsy suites and waltzes.

Movie: "Casablanca" (1943, PG, 102 minutes) Ingalls Mall, 10 p.m.

Often considered one of the best movies ever to come out of Hollywood, "Casablanca" is a story of lost love and sacrifice set against an exciting World War II backdrop. Starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Paul Heinreid, Claude Rains and Sidney Greenstreet.
