A special attraction coming to the Ann Arbor Summer Festival this weekend is Erth's "Dinosaur Petting Zoo," a special free show planned for six performances on the Power Center lawn.

One of the creatures make a preview appearance at Top of the Park last night, and the Summer Festival posted a brief video of the visit on its Facebook page.

Erth's "Dinosaur Petting Zoo" is scheduled for performances at 5 and 7 p.m. today, as well as 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

In the 45- to 60-minute family performance, held on the lawn of the Power Center, the company interacts with the crowd by introducing them to a menagerie of creatures and walking the various prehistoric puppets through the audience for people to see up close and to pet. Admission free; donations appreciated; blankets and early arrival recommended.
