Basement Arts, a student-run theater company at the University of Michigan, just announced this semester's lineup of free shows. Performances happen on Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays at 7 and 11 p.m., and Saturdays at 7 p.m. in Studio 1 of the Walgreen Drama Center, 1226 Murfin.
On January 28-30, there's "A Slight Ache," by Harold Pinter, and "Art," by Yasmina Reza; on February 4-6, "After Ashley" by Gina Gionfriddo; on February 11-13, "Waiting" and "The End of Civilization as We Know It" by Mark Kaufman; on February 18-20, Joss Whedon's "Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog"; on April 1-3, "How Love is Spelt" by Chloe Moss; on April 8-10, "Twelve Angry Jurors" by Reginald Rose, adapted by Sherman Sergel; and on April 15-17, "Animal Farm" by Peter Hall.
