The year is 1859. Oregon has just been admitted as the 33rd state. "A Tale of Two Cities" and "The Origin of Species" are published. And on the U-M campus, the Men's Glee Club came together. To celebrate, they will hold their 153rd Spring Concert at Hill Auditorium on Saturday.

Bob from Sesame Street and Sanjay Gupta were members of the U of M Glee Club. That's the extent of my Glee Club trivia knowledge. Professor George Shirley is a Grammy winner and was the first African American tenor to sing a lead role at the Met. Pretty impressive!
