UMS seeking volunteer ushers
The University Musical Society, Ann Arbor's esteemed nonprofit fine-arts presenter, is looking for volunteer ushers for the upcoming season.
Serving as a volunteer usher is a great way to see UMS performances for free, and to perform a community service at the same time.
This season, UMS will present 68 performances in 8 local venues, covering a wide range of top names in classical music, theater, dance, jazz and more. A full schedule is available on the UMS website.
Anyone who wishes to usher for UMS this season, even if they have served before, is required to attend an orientation session, held in Auditorium 3 of the Modern
Languages Building, 812 E. Washington St., on the University of Michigan central campus. Orientations are offered:
• Thursday, Sept. 6, 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Sept. 8, 10 a.m.
• Monday, Sept. 10, 6 p.m.
For more information, contact the UMS Front of House Coordinator at fohums@umich.edu or 734-615-9398.
