University Musical Society seeking volunteer ushers

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The University Musical Society, the semi-autonomous organization presenting fine-arts events at the University of Michigan, needs ushers for its winter season.

From the UMS announcement:

Each year, UMS presents over 60 performances in seven primary venues in Ann Arbor: Hill Auditorium, Rackham Auditorium, the Power Center, Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre, the Michigan Theater, the U-M Museum of Art, and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Anyone interested in becoming an usher must attend one orientation session in January. All orientation sessions will be held in Auditorium 3 of the Modern Languages Building (MLB) on the University of Michigan central campus (812 E. Washington, Ann Arbor).

Usher orientations will be held on the following dates: • Wednesday, January 6, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Modern Languages Building Auditorium 3 • Thursday, January 7, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Modern Languages Building Auditorium 3 • Saturday, January 9, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Modern Languages Building Auditorium 3

UMS utilizes a large volunteer usher staff for all of its Ann Arbor presentations. Currently, over 400 volunteers assist patrons in seven Ann Arbor venues.
