The festival is a unique event in which residents of one neighborhood play music on their front porches on a single afternoon while listeners stroll from one performance to another. Created and organized by Paul Tinkerhess, it became an immediate hit upon its 2011 debut. It takes place in Ann Arbor's Water Hill neighborhood, northwest of Main and Miller.
For more information—including details on attending, particpating in, or volunteering for the festival, see the event's website and Facebook page.

We've lived on Spring St. since 1973. It is so neat to watch our neighborhood jell into Water Hill, thanks to Paul's efforts to solidify the cool name. The Water Hill Music Fest is just one outwardly visible indication of what a great bunch of neighbors we have living here.

This was such a great time last year. The music was fantastic and the crowds were fun. My only regret was that I went halfway through the day and didn't take in all the tunes that I could have if I went earlier. Will plan to be there for the full duration this year!

We went last year and heard Appleseed Collective. What a great time to see so many families with their children enjoying music of every variety. Keep up the great work.
