What's The Stooges' best album?

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The big day is almost at hand: Tuesday brings Iggy Pop and The Stooges to the Michigan Theater for a sold-out homecoming tribute show to the late Ron Asheton, The Stooges' original guitarist.

Seems like a good time to ask which album shows the band at its best. While the 2007 reunion album "The Weirdness" isn't likely to get too many votes, of the original three albums, each has its passionate partisans. (Sorry, "Metallic K.O." fans, we're sticking to studio albums here to keep things simple.)

Ron didn't get the title of the 29th best guitarist in the world for only knowing 3 chords. Funny.........I don't see you plugging the band that you are in for the guitar wizard that you surely must be. What was the name of it again? Oh wait......you just wanna complain because you can't play at all......................

DaLast word............you certainly have NEVER heard the Stooges either perform or on vinyl / CD. If you had, you could never say that in a serious way. Flat out, you are DEAD WRONG! Ron Ashton was rated near the top of the best guitar players EVER! Give a liten then come back with an intelligent post.

The album "Instinct" from the late '80s was good but overlooked.

I'm sorry but the word "best" can't possibly be associated with anything the stooges ever did or will do. This mucic is simple, and these guys have no talent what so ever.
