Wild Swan Theater announces 2010-11 season

Wild Swan Theater has announced the lineup for the company’s 31st season of professional productions for young people and their families.

All performances take place at Towsley Auditorium, in the Morris Lawrence Building on the campus of Washtenaw Community College. Season productions and performance times are:

"Jack and the Beanstalk," October 21-23 (recommended for grades preK-3); "The Firebird," December 9-12 (for grades K-6); "A Honey Pot of Pooh Stories," January 27-29 (for grades preK-2; "Under the African Sky," February 24-26 (for grades K-3); "Peter Rabbit," March 23- 26 (for grades preK-2); and "Treasure Island," May 12-15 (for grades 3-8).

Performed by a troupe of professional actors, dancers, and musicians, WS plays are known for innovative staging; music composed and performed live for each production; extraordinary puppets and masks; beautiful period costumes; and creative incorporation of movement and dance. WST is also known for making plays available to audience members who have auditory, visual or mobility impairments.

Patrons can purchase tickets online through the company’s website or by phone at 734-995-0530. Season tickets, on sale now, are available at a discount when ordering tickets to three or more plays; individual tickets go on sale September 15; and discounted group rates are available to parties of 10 or more.
