Earlier this afternoon, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, now celebrating its 25th anniversary, awarded grants totaling $125,000 to 50 nonprofit organizations that serve people with disabilities throughout the region.

Each group receives $2,500 for operating support, and one recipient was Ann Arbor's Wild Swan Theater, which offers family-friendly live theater shows with American Sign Language interpreters, as well as backstage touch tours and audio descriptions of shows.
