Ypsi's Totally Awesome Fest to return for a ninth year

What started as a house party in Ann Arbor has become an community-wide event in Ypsilanti. The all-ages, underground arts and entertainment festival, Totally Awesome Fest, returns for a ninth year with outdoor daytime events and indoor nighttime activities throughout the weekend.

Activities include music acts, a take-home fashion show (feel free to bring clothes to swap), a pancake decorating contest, live painting, a Sunday sunrise situation and more.

The party begins on Friday at VG Kids from 5-9 p.m., then moves on to the Dreamland Theater from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.

Things get mysterious on Saturday when the Fest starts at The House of Mole from noon-7 p.m. In order to find it, you'll have to ask around. Party goers will once again move on to the Dreamland Theater from 9 p.m.-2 a.m.

Sundays venues are Frog Island Park at 6:45 a.m., The House of Mole from noon-7 p.m. and Cafe Ollie 9 p.m.-midnight.
