The Haiti Nursing Foundation (HNF) - www.haitinursing.org
Benefit dinner to support the Fsil School of Nursing (Faculté des Sciences Infirmières de l’Université Episcopale d’Haïti, Léogâne).

Within 30 minutes of the earthquake that flattened 80% of the buildings in the Haitian town of Léogâne, students and nurses from FSIL were tending to the medical needs of hundreds of Haitians who were injured and homeless.

Guerda Harris of The Back Alley Gourmet plans to serve a traditional Haitian Creole meal, including red beans with rice, Caribbean chicken, Tilapia with Creole sauce, fried plantains, ratatouille, salad with lime vinaigrette, and a Haitian sweet potato pudding and cake for dessert.

The benefit dinner will also include raffles and a silent auction. If anyone would like to donate something for the silent auction, please contact Guerda Harris at: 734-662-1175.

Speaking at the dinner will be  people affiliated with the nursing school who have recently returned from Haiti and can give first-hand accounts of the developments.
