Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan is a non-profit run by students at U of M. They have been raising funds and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor and Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
The organization's year-round fundraising efforts for children with disabilities culminates annually in March when students stand on their feet for 30-straight hours to raise awareness about their cause and celebrate the accompishments of the children they support.
They encourage community members to come join the celebration--there will be performances from groups within the community and the U-M campus, as well as games and activities for all in attendance. Most importantly, the children and families whom the organization supports will be at The Marathon so visitors will not only learn about the cause they support but will also be able to get to know members of the Ann Arbor and greater Michigan community.
