In 1974, and Patricia Hearst was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army. Six weeks later, she had become one of them. Patty’s journey from heiress to underground revolutionary has been set to music in a bold, explosive world premiere from the Blackbird Theatre Company. The notorious true story comes alive for Ann Arbor audiences this June.

With Jamie Weeder (Patty), Christopher Joseph (Cinque), Chelsea Sadler (Gelina), Emily Wilson-Tobin (Zoya), Vanessa Sawson (Gabi), Gayle Martin (Yolanda), Steven O’Brien (Teko), Talia Glass (Fahiza), Ruell Black (Prophet Jones), and Blackbird Academy Members Max Hully and Danny Friedland, alternating in the role of Tom.

Written, composed, and directed by Barton Bund. Stage management by Sarah Lucas. Lighting design by Gwen Lindsay. Costume design by Sara Eicher. Sound engineering by William Myers.
