(Michael Moore, 1989, 90 min.) Michigan’s own Michael Moore will be present to screen the film that helped launch him as America’s most loveable pain in the neck. Moore will talk about how the film has changed his life, twenty years after its original release, what it was like to be a new filmmaker on the scene, and what’s changed about America in the ensuing years since he tried to chase down Roger Smith, then Chairman of General Motors, and persuade him to visit his beloved Flint, Michigan to observe the devastating effects closed GM plants were having on their local economy.
