Featured Speaker is General William Henderson, of Ypsilanti, a retired Commander of Headquarters Michigan Air National Guard. General Henderson served with the 1st Marine Air Wing in Vietnam as an F-4 Phantom fighter pilot flying 125 combat missions. For his service, he was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses. He has had a long career with the Marines, the Air National Guard and as Chief Pilot and Director of Flight Operations for General Motors Corporation.

The banquet, sponsored by the Erwin Prieskorn American Legion Post 46 of Ann Arbor, is intended to be a long overdue welcome home for Washtenaw County Vietnam Veterans. Vietnam Vets will be honored for their service and recognized for the sacrifices and commitments they made on behalf of their country. A tribute will also be made to the 77 Veterans of Washtenaw County who died in Vietnam or who are still missing in action.
