To mark the 9th anniversary of the war in Afghanistan, the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice of Ann Arbor is hosting a "Dinner and a Movie" showing of Rethink Afghanistan  from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11.

It will be held at First United Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall, located at 120 S. State St. in Ann Arbor (corner of South State and Huron streets, click here for a map).

There will be a screening of the groundbreaking documentary by award-winning filmmaker Robert Greenwald. The film will shatter all perceived truths behind this war. One will learn about key issues, such as whether or not we should be there, its monetary cost, civilian and military casualties and the fate of women.

The film will be preceded by a light supper at 6:30 p.m. provided by ICPJ. Participants are welcome to bring a dish to pass, but this is not required. It would be helpful, however, if people would bring their own table service. Due to other events at the church that evening, on-site parking is only available for those with mobility impairments.

You are advised to park nearby at the Liberty Square parking structure on Washington Street, which requires the exact change of $2. For more details, email info@icpj.net or call 734-663-1870.
