The musicians are so close the music gives you chills.

Formed in 2007 by University Lutheran Chapel and its affiliated coffeehouse, The Common Cup, Vivo Sinfonietta was created as a musical mission. With a talented Conductor Brett Koval Luginbill and 25 professional musicians from across the state on board - the recently renovated and acoustically immaculate University Lutheran Chapel became the perfect setting for the ensemble and a concert series was born.

Now in its third season, Vivo brings musical pieces by Bach to Beethoven alive in an intimate setting that makes guests feel like they are getting a private concert.

Larry Frank, Vivo Sinfonietta’s acting musical manager is also excited about the opportunity it gives the musicians.

“Not only does the audience get a fantastic performance, but Vivo has a seriously talented group of musicians that are building their performance repertoire by getting a chance to perform in front of an appreciative and knowledgeable audience,” said Frank. “It’s a win-win.”

Vivo Sinfonietta is currently embarking on a four concert series and its upcoming concert will feature guest clarinetist Justin Stanley who has a performance rap sheet any musician would drool over. With degrees from the University of Michigan, Yale and the Oberlin Conservatory, Stanley has performed in venues that include: the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall and Chicago’s Symphony Center (not to mention collaborations with digital genius DJ Dubble8 for the Banff Music Festifall…).

"This season is going to be a great one...all of our musicians are excited, the music is fantastic, and the setting alone is worth the price of admission...we look forward to seeing you here." Frank said.
