Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:

• Congressional leaders and White House officials reached a tentative agreement on a proposed tax on premium, employer-sponsored health insurance plans.

• A woman received a successful windpipe transplant after nurturing the organ in her arm for 10 months.

• A study looking to quantify the harmful impact of inactivity says watching TV shortens human lifespans.

• World Health Organization officials rejected claims on Thursday the threat posed by the swine flu virus had been exaggerated by the agency.
