Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:

• Are there really seven secrets to a long life? According to advice published by the American Heart Association, several health behaviors can help more adults make it to their 90th birthday both stroke and heart-disease free, the Washington Post reported.

• Little evidence supports medical marijuana over current therapies, largely because most research is discouraged by the federal government, experts say in a New York Times story today.

• Decades past their wild years, more baby boomers are beginning to develop the symptoms of hepatitis C, which can lay dormant for years, according to a recent report in Newsweek.

• New evidence supporting fish oil says omega-3 fatty acids may protect heart disease patients against death and illness by slowing biological aging. Cardiac experts raised skepticism because of limitations in the study, ABC News reports.
