Tune in to 'Battling and Beating Cancer'
Mark your calendars! Three cancer survivors and one caregiver talk all things cancer next Tuesday night, April 12 at 8 p.m. on "Battling and Beating Cancer," which airs on blogtalkradio.
Scott Seaman and Charlene McMann Seaman
Joining Scott and Charlene are yours truly and Liz McMillan, another blood cancer survivor and board member of Patients Against Lymphoma (PAL) as well as PAL's social media director — and an extraordinary social media director at that! PAL's Facebook page provides a wealth of information, resources and support for people with all kinds of cancers.
As tireless, feisty, fearless advocates, Scott, Charlene and Liz are true friends to all who reside in the cancer community, and I'm proud to count them among mine. They have "walked the walk" and freely share their wealth of insight into the cancer experience.
The four of us are well aware that all of us — with any kind of cancer — are united by common concerns, and we'll be talking about some of them, such as the importance of having someone in your corner, second opinions, and how and why to advocate for yourself. And I wouldn't be surprised if we dove into the proposed spending cuts in cancer research funding which will affect everyone with every type of cancer.
So I hope you'll join us for what promises to be a lively show. You can listen live by clicking the link at 8 p.m. next Tuesday, or if you miss it, you can listen later to the archived show.
