Michigan study shows many would delay calling 9-1-1 for stroke symptoms

Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:
• While many would recognize the symptoms of a stroke, a majority wouldn't know how to react, a Michigan Department of Community Health study found.
Reported by Time, they study found only 14 percent of participants knew to call 9-1-1 for stroke symptoms like sudden slurred speech, sudden blurry vision or sudden numbness on one side of the body. The results are of particular concern because treatment for stroke is most effective the quicker it is administered. The study was published in Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association.
• Heinz says it has a new recipe for its ketchup that will contain 15 percent less sodium, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The new recipe should be unveiled this summer.
• A new study found women who marry men much younger than themselves appear to have a higher chance of dying earlier than those who marry men closer to their own age, BusinessWeek reported.
