Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:
• Are the eggs in your fridge included in the egg recall? The Washington Post has a useful guide to the egg recall of about 380 million eggs and counting. The eggs were packaged under a number of brand names, including "Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Sun Valley, Lund, Dutch Farms, Kemps, Glenview, Bayview, James Farms, Nulaid and Pacific Coast." The article includes a link to the Egg Safety Center for the most up-to-date information.
• An article published in the New York Times explores the trend of delaying kindergarten. “Wiggly, easily distracted and less mature, boys are more likely to be held back than girls, but delayed enrollment is now common for both sexes,” reporter Pamela Paul writes. The trend started in the 1990s and shows no sign of slowing, according to the NY Times. Parents are enrolling children in “transitional” kindergartens.
• A study published in the British Medical Journal this month reported being frightened of falling could increase an elderly person’s risk of taking a spill, the BBC reported. Researchers are promoting that a person’s anxieties should be considered when doctors assess someone’s risk of falling.

It is interesting that of all the articles and news reports on the egg recall, I have only heard a couple mention that NO eggs have been found to have been shipped to Michigan. Am I wrong? Why not print the facts? We know why.
