Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:

• More Americans considered a normal weight are getting fed up with obesity - and its costs. That's showing up more and more in public policy, as well as personal attitudes.

• Rheumatoid arthritis may be detected using a blood test before it ever appears, new research shows.

• The Food and Drug Administration sent a warning letter to a prominent dermatologist for promoting an anti-wrinkle drug that has not yet been approved. The move sent a warning to other prominent dermatologists and plastic surgeons who participate in the widely held practice of promoting products in the beauty industry.

• Survival rates for leukemia patients who have blood stem cell transplants is about the same as patients who have a more invasive bone marrow transplant. But patients with more serious forms of the cancer do seem to fare better if they have the bone marrow transplant, according to new research.

• New research suggests older people need less sleep to maintain daytime alertness.

The insurance companies keep pushing the normal weight guide lines down. Some American's think the obesity issue has been fanned by insurance companies to reduce service and increase the bottom line at the expense of policy holders.

Just look at the people posting on Yahoo Personnals et al. They list themselves as 'average' size but the pictures show otherwise! They need another category: Honest.
