Need a midday siesta? Tell the boss it's good for your learning and memory power, research says

Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:
• Turns out childhood nap time might be a good thing to extend into adulthood - a new study found a midday rest increased "learning power" among young adults. The study has not yet been published, the New York Times reported, but was presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in San Diego.
• A small study suggests acupuncture may help relieve the symptoms of depression in pregnant women, according to a piece in Reuters today.
• Up to 48,000 people each year may be killed by hospital-acquired infections like sepsis and pneumonia, costing $8.1 billion in treatments, according to a study of data across 40 states, ABC reported.
• Doctors' wages - and their hours - have been steadily declining in the past decade, worrying experts about a shortage of primary care doctors in the future.
