Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:

• Those who regularly consume sugar-laden soft drinks are at a much greater risk of developing pancreatic cancer than those who don't, researchers found.

• As the U.S. Food and Drug Administration pushes forward with plans to require front of package nutrition facts on food, it may also require food manufacturers to update serving sizes. Those sizes are often much smaller than what the average American consumes.

• Scientists believe they may have isolated genes to explain why some people age fast than others - and that may unlock secrets of age-related diseases like cancer.

• Researchers say an experimental therapy cured osteoporosis in animal studies in a finding that indicates seratonin levels are linked to the bone loss disorder.
