What should you be eating? Debate rages on

Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:
• The debate on nutrition was reignited as experts parse the newly released dietary guidelines that call for American adults to eat less animal proteins and fats and more fruits and vegetables, the Los Angeles Times reported.
• The economic downturn appears to be limiting the drugs available through a government program that offers antiretrovirals to HIV and AIDS patients who can't afford them, the New York Times reported.
• A St. Louis veteran's hospital informed more than 1,800 patients it may have exposed them to blood-borne pathogens due to poor sterilization practices, the New York Times reported.
