Why is Rachael Ray talking to Congress?

Here's a look at some of the top health news being talked about around the U.S. and the world today:
• Well-known for her TV food shows centering on 30-minute meals and eating on a budget while traveling, Rachael Ray instead recently traveled to Capitol Hill. She was lobbying members of Congress for an increase in federal reimbursement rates for school lunches and better regulation of the kinds of foods available to kids during the school day, the New York Times reported.
• Also in the news when it comes to kids nutrition in the U.S. was the announcement of a 70-point plan of action as part of Michelle Obama's campaign against childhood obesity. Among key points in the plan were ones calling for improved marketing of healthier foods, Reuters reported.
• The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is calling on doctors to help keep an eye on misleading advertisements from drug companies. Looking out for the ads could help speed up the process of cracking down on violators of FDA rules, the agency said.
