Trade plants at swap on Oct. 6

By Monica Milla

Do you have plants that you need to divide or no longer want? Dig them up and bring them to a plant swap on Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at Southeast Area Park in Ann Arbor.

Plant exchanges are a fun and free way to get new plants for your garden, while giving away your extras. There's still enough time this fall to get plants watered in and for roots to get established before winter.

Please label your plants. Perennials, shrubs, bulbs, tubers and more are all accepted. Other non-plant items are also acceptable to exchange, so bring extra tools, books, magazines, garden decor, seeds, etc.

You will arrange trades one-on-one with other attendees.

For more information, contact Susan at 734-478-3338.

Personally, I'll bring some yucca and rose campion, plus anything else I get around to digging up. See you Oct. 6 at Southeast Area Park on the northwest corner of Ellsworth and Platt roads (enter off Ellsworth).
