Wonder what to do if your dog or cat ends up in a health-compromising situations?

Monday, Dec. 14, Dennis Newhouse from Ypsilanti's Mantis Pet Supply will host a presentation on Pet First Aid at the Recreation Park Community Center at 1015 N. Congress St. in Ypsilanti.

Along with pet safety, Mantis will discuss how to identify emergency situations, teach some life-saving techniques and give you the ability to stay confident and calm when your pet needs you to take control.

The program, set to start at 7:15 p.m., costs $5 per person or $6 per couple; children are free.
