Michigan basketball to host Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan this season at Crisler Center
ANN ARBOR -- The Michigan basketball team will be getting an extra dose of in-state foes this season.
In addition to playing host to Central Michigan on Dec. 29, the Wolverines will also host Mid-American Conference foe Western Michigan on Dec. 4, and Eastern Michigan on Dec. 20 at the Crisler Center.
The EMU and WMU games were confirmed each program's official web site.
No. 5 Michigan has yet to unveil its 2012-13 schedule in its entirety, but the contests against EMU and WMU are the seventh and eighth known non-league games (not including the Preseason NIT) the Wolverines will play this season.
The Wolverines are 26-2 all-time against Eastern Michigan, with the last meeting resulting in a 91-60 Michigan victory on Dec. 13, 2008.
Michigan hasn't performed nearly as well against Western Michigan, holding a 24-13 edge all-time. The last time the two teams played (Nov. 30, 2002), WMU left Crisler Arena with a 56-52 win.
Part of the delay for Michigan's overall schedule release has been due to the Preseason NIT -- a tournament Michigan is scheduled to participate in -- an event that reportedly hasn't been finalized.
Below are the confirmed non-league dates for Michigan's 2012-13 season.
