Michigan remains unranked for second week in a row
Michigan didn't play this weekend, and didn't move in the polls.
The Wolverines (2-2) remain unranked in the AP and coaches polls that were released Sunday afternoon. No two-loss teams made the rankings.
Michigan received 38 votes in the AP poll and 11 in the coaches poll, making it the second-highest vote-getter among two-loss teams. Only Michigan State had more.
The Spartans dropped from the polls after their loss Saturday against Ohio State, but the Big Ten maintained its representation with the rise of Northwestern. The Wildcats, off to a 5-0 start, are ranked No. 24 in the AP poll and No. 22 in the coaches poll.
It's the first time Northwestern has been ranked in the AP poll since 2008.
Other Big Ten teams in the AP and coaches polls include Ohio State (No. 12/NR) and Nebraska (21/20).
Michigan resumes action this week against Purdue (3-1).
