ANN ARBOR --
Final: Michigan 91, IUPUI 54
-- Michigan breaks the 90-point barrier again, and is now one win away from Madison Square Garden. More in a bit on MLive.com.
Michigan 71, IUPUI 49
7:22 -- second half
-- Burke now with 20 points and 9 assists, he's never had a 10-assist game, by the way. All Michigan now, Wolverines shooting a whopping 63.4 percent from the floor in this one.
Michigan 62, IUPUI 46
11:04 -- second half
-- Michigan with a comfortable lead now, appears to be on its way to another 80-point night. Tim Hardaway Jr. limped off the court a few minutes ago, received some treatment on his left quad. But seems to be OK now, as he's walking around.
Michigan 54, IUPUI 39
15:34 -- second half
-- Michigan opens the half on an 8-0 run, extending the run from the first half to 13-0 in total to stretch its lead to as many as 21 before IUPUI knocks in back-to-back 3-pointers. Glenn Robinson still hasn't missed, he's up to 19 points and 5 rebounds now. Burke took a nasty spill early in the second half, but seems to be OK -- he's got 15 points and 8 assists.
Michigan 45, IUPUI 31
-- Michigan closes the half on a 9-2 run, and goes into the break with its biggest lead of the game. Robinson finishes the half with 16 points and four rebounds, while Trey Burke has 13 points and 7 assists. Michigan has 8 turnovers, otherwise this thing would be really out of hand.
Michigan 36, IUPUI 29
3:51 -- first half
-- Michigan slowly starting to get some space here now, Glenn Robinson III has been the man thus far -- he's 6-for-6 with 14 points, 3 rebounds. Great start for him.
Michigan 29, IUPUI 25
7:42 -- first half
-- Michigan shooting a blistering 10 of 13 from the floor, 4 of 6 from 3, but not exactly defending at 100 percent. IUPUI has gotten to a lot of loose balls, seems to be playing harder than Michigan right now. In any event, Glenn Robinson III is having a night -- he's got 11 points and 3 rebounds. Burke with 9 points and 5 assists.
Michigan 23, IUPUI 17
11:15 -- first half
-- Michigan can't seem to shake IUPUI early. Burke's got 9 points, Robinson's got 8 -- but the Jaguars have taken advantage of three Michigan turnovers and have answered just about every mini-run Michigan's thrown at them. Wolverines have led by as many as 9.
Michigan 12, IUPUI 9
15:58 -- first half
-- Both teams start relatively hot from the floor -- Trey Burke is 2-for-2 from downtown to give Michigan the narrow edge early. Glenn Robinson III has been lost on a few switches defensively, giving up a couple of easy buckets for the Jaguars.
• Michigan going with the same starting five: Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr., Matt Vogrich, Glenn Robinson III, Jordan Morgan.
• Cleveland State knocked off Bowling Green in overtime here earlier tonight, so the winner of this game will play Cleveland State on Tuesday -- if it's Michigan, it'll be at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
Michigan's road to Madison Square Garden begins tonight.
The fifth-ranked Wolverines will host regional play of the 2012 NIT Season Tip-Off tournament at 9 p.m. against opening-round foe IUPUI at Crisler Center (ESPNU).
The winner will advance to Tuesday's regional final against Cleveland State, with a ticket to New York for the tournament semifinals on the line.
It's not exactly a win or go home situation for Michigan, but it's definitely a win or be embarrassed scenario.
