Michigan's Devin Gardner will start at quarterback for a second straight game
ANN ARBOR -- It'll be Devin Gardner again for Michigan.
A Michigan spokesman announced prior to kickoff Saturday that the junior will start at quarterback for a second straight game when Michigan takes on Northwestern (12 p.m., ESPN) at Michigan Stadium.
Gardner started in place of injured senior Denard Robinson last week at Minnesota and performed brilliantly in a 35-13 win.
The junior was 12-for-18 through the air for 234 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for another.
Robinson, meanwhile, will miss the second start of his career. He sat out the Minnesota game due to an elbow injury.
Michigan coach Brady Hoke was mum on Robinson's status all week long, saying he would not give day-to-day updates on his injury or progress.
