Recruiting: Michigan signee Zak Irvin off to a hot start, Derrick Walton shows his stuff in a scrimmage
Michigan basketball signee Zak Irvin, one of the top-rated players in the state of Indiana, got his high school season started on the right foot recently.
Irvin, a 6-foot-6, four-star wing and a candidate for Indiana's Mr. Basketball, is averaging 27 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4 assists per game as his Hamilton Southeastern squad is off to a 3-0 start.
Irvin was recognized as an Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week, and has scored at least 30 points in two of his team's three games thus far.
Elsewhere, Michigan point guard signee Derrick Walton has yet to begin his senior campaign at Chandler Park Academy, but the four-star floor leader recently showcased his skills during a scrimmage setting.
