South Carolina suspends 2 for Outback Bowl against Michigan
South Carolina will be down two more players when it faces Michigan in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day.
Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier told reporters after practice Saturday that senior receiver D.L. Moore and redshirt freshman offensive lineman Kyle Harris will not travel with the team to Tampa, Fla., due to a violation of team rules.
No. 11 South Carolina (10-2) already is without star tailback Marcus Lattimore, who suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Moore played in all 12 games this year and started five. He hauled in eight catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
Harris played in four games, starting one.
Michigan (8-4) will be without two starters of its own in cornerback Blake Countess (ACL) and tailback Fitz Toussaint (leg). Coach Brady Hoke said Friday he expects everyone else to be available for the game.
